Many books have been written on the subject of how to
grill. There are as many opinions as
there are thoughts on how to grill. The
biggest obstacle you will face when you research how to grill is choosing the
way that is best for you. These are
questions you might ask, including:
- Do I know how to grill?
- What type of grill do I need?
To answer these questions and more take some things into
consideration.
- Am I grilling for pleasure?
- Will I grill mainly as a hobby?
- Could grilling turn into a business for me?
- Who will I grill for?
- When will I grill?
- Does my grill need to be portable?
- What will I grill?
A charcoal grill is the type many people start out with and
prefer. You may buy them in various
sizes, they are portable, and once you get the charcoal burning correctly they
provide flavors enhanced with rich charcoal taste. Their downside is having to purchase messy bags
of charcoal, using lighter fuel to get it lit and keep it going, and the wait
time to cook. However, many people
prefer these grills to all others.
A gas grill is the third option. This grill also comes in various sizes and is
portable. It has even heat and usually
an electronic starter. Flavorful food
can be prepared on a gas grill. They are
easy to clean, but gas tanks must be refilled or smaller gas canisters
purchased to operate them.
So, there are many choices on how to grill – only you can
choose the method that will work for you!
